Logo Contest Announced!

Posted: February 19th, 2010 | Author: mdifilippo | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

The National Campaign to Stop Violence (“NCSV”) invites all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students to create a new logo for the “Do the Write Thing Challenge” Program. The “Challenge,” the primary initiative of the NCSV, gives middle-school students an opportunity to engage in classroom discussions about the problems of violence, to write about their experiences with violence and about its causes. It emphasizes personal responsibility and empowers students to do something about ending violence in their lives and in their communities.  This is the current logo for the program:

The winner will receive a laptop computer and trip to Washington, D.C., with one parent or guardian, during the National Recognition Week in July for the “Challenge” Program.  The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2010.  Visit http://www.dtwt.org/events/logo-contest for guidelines and participation forms.

We look forward to seeing your designs!
